Product Overview

Polyethylene Oxide MW 8,000,000 (CAS 25322-68-3) is top-grade ultra-high viscosity PEO specially designed for papermaking retention systems. Conventional medium MW PEO cannot achieve ideal trapping effect on ultrafine pulp particles; extra high molecular weight materials may cause excessive solution viscosity and hard on-site dilution. This 8M grade balances particle bridging ability, solution fluidity and retention efficiency.
After being dissolved and added into pulp slurry, polymer chains capture fine fibers and inorganic fillers. Stable flocculation improves formation uniformity of paper sheet, enhances wire dewatering efficiency and facilitates white water recycling in paper mills.

Usage Guidance

Slowly disperse PEO powder into continuously agitated clean water to avoid agglomeration and fish-eye particles. Prepare dilute stock solution before dosing into pulp pipeline. Usual addition range: 0.005% ~ 0.04% based on absolute dry pulp. Optimize dosage according to pulp type, beating degree and machine speed. Complete laboratory retention test before formal mass application.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from moisture, high temperature and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper sealed storage.
