Product Overview

Polyethylene Oxide MW 5,000,000 (CAS 25322-68-3) is ultra-high molecular weight PEO customized for oilfield fracturing fluid systems. Medium molecular weight PEO cannot provide sufficient viscosity and sand carrying performance; excessively high molecular weight grades cause poor solubility and difficult on-site preparation. This 5M grade balances thickening efficiency, shear stability and break performance.
After dissolving in water, polymer network maintains stable viscosity under pumping shear force, suspending proppants during fracturing. When matched with suitable breakers, the fluid viscosity can drop rapidly, with minimal residues left in reservoir channels.

Usage Guidance

Gradually disperse PEO powder into circulating water to avoid agglomeration and fish eyes. Prepare base fluid on site, then add crosslinkers, breakers and other additives as formula required. Conduct laboratory evaluation on viscosity, sand suspension property and gel breaking performance before formal construction. Adjust dosage according to formation temperature and construction requirements.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid moisture absorption, high temperature and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper sealed storage.
