Product Overview

Polyethylene Oxide MW 5,000,000 (CAS 25322-68-3) is ultra-high molecular weight PEO developed for carbon powder granulation industry. Low molecular PEO cannot deliver sufficient bonding force; ultra-high molecular weight PEO leads to excessive slurry viscosity and poor processing performance. This 5M grade balances bonding capacity, slurry fluidity and thermal cleanness.
After dissolving in water and mixing with carbon powder, PEO forms continuous adhesive network to maintain particle shape during extrusion or rolling granulation. The polymer fully decomposes under high temperature, leaving almost no inorganic residues, protecting the intrinsic performance of activated carbon and carbon black.

Usage Guidance

Disperse PEO powder into stirred purified water to prepare homogeneous binder solution, then mix evenly with activated carbon/carbon black powder for kneading and granulation. Typical addition amount: 0.3% ~ 2.0% based on carbon powder weight. Adjust dosage according to target particle strength. Carry out granulation test and high-temperature calcination residue test before mass production.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid moisture absorption, high temperature and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper sealed storage.
