Product Overview

Polyethylene Oxide MW 100,000 (CAS 25322-68-3) is tailor-made low-to-medium molecular weight water-soluble PEO developed for water-based coating and ink industries. Different from ultra-high molecular weight PEO which causes excessive viscosity, this grade maintains proper solution viscosity while providing excellent dispersion stabilization. Through steric hindrance effect, it effectively solves pigment settling, floating and color separation problems. It has broad compatibility with acrylic emulsion, polyurethane dispersion and other common aqueous resin systems, and brings balanced rheology and leveling properties to finished coatings and inks.

Usage Guidance

Slowly add PEO powder into continuously stirred deionized water to avoid agglomeration, keep stirring until fully dissolved. Add the PEO solution at pigment grinding stage. Typical dosage: 0.1% ~0.8% based on total formula weight. Adjust addition amount according to pigment type and storage stability requirement. Complete compatibility test and stability aging test before mass production.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid moisture absorption and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper storage.
