Product Overview

Polyethylene Oxide MW 4,000,000 (CAS 25322-68-3) is high molecular weight PEO developed for cementitious dry mortar industry. Low molecular PEO cannot deliver satisfactory anti-sagging property; ultra-high molecular weight grades easily cause excessive stickiness. This 4M grade keeps perfect balance of thickening efficiency, water retention and construction workability.

Once mixed with water, polymer forms reversible hydrated network. Under static condition, viscosity rises to avoid sagging; under shear force of troweling, moderate lubricity is offered. It reduces cracking risk caused by rapid water evaporation and enhances surface smoothness of putty and skim coat.

Usage Guidance

Dry blend PEO powder evenly with cement, mineral fillers and other additives during dry mortar manufacturing. Recommended dosage: 0.01% ~ 0.08% based on total dry raw materials. Formulate together with cellulose ether for comprehensive performance. Complete construction tests including open time, sag resistance and water retention to confirm optimal dosage before mass production.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Avoid moisture absorption, high temperature and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper sealed storage.
