Product Overview

PEO MW 600,000 Polyethylene Oxide (CAS 25322-68-3) is a high-molecular-weight water-soluble polymer specially developed for water-based drilling fluid systems. Medium molecular weight PEO cannot deliver durable lubrication under high friction working conditions, while ultra-high molecular weight PEO may cause excessively high slurry viscosity and poor circulation. This 600k grade achieves balanced viscosity, drag reduction and lubricating performance. The polymer adsorbs onto drill pipe, casing and rock surfaces to build lubricating layers, reducing abrasion during horizontal and directional drilling. Meanwhile, it offers auxiliary suspension capacity for drill cuttings and weighting materials to improve hole cleaning efficiency.

Usage Guidance

Slowly disperse PEO powder into continuously stirred base fluid to avoid agglomeration, prepare dilute stock solution prior to use. Normal dosage: 0.05% ~ 0.3% based on total drilling fluid mass. Adjust dosage according to formation characteristics, well deviation angle and friction test results. Conduct laboratory performance evaluation before field application.

Storage & Package

Seal packages tightly. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid moisture absorption and direct sunlight. Standard package: 25kg kraft paper bag with inner PE liner. Shelf life: 12 months under proper storage.
