Ultra Fine ATH Powder (Aluminum Hydroxide, CAS 21645-51-2) is a high purity halogen-free inorganic flame retardant and smoke suppressant produced by ultrafine grinding and precision classification technology. During combustion, it decomposes endothermically and releases crystal water to cool the combustion zone, forming a dense alumina barrier layer to isolate oxygen and suppress smoke emission. Thanks to its ultra-fine particle size, it can disperse evenly inside epoxy resin, minimizing adverse impacts on mechanical strength, transparency and processing fluidity. Application Scope
This ultra fine ATH powder is specially developed for epoxy resin formulations. Widely used in epoxy potting compounds for electronic components, epoxy casting resins, epoxy anticorrosive coatings, epoxy composite materials, copper-clad laminates and insulating adhesive systems. It can be used alone or compounded with phosphorus flame retardants to reach target flame retardant grades such as UL94 V-0.
Usage Guide
Add Ultra Fine ATH powder during material mixing stage. Proper stirring time and dispersant are recommended to achieve uniform distribution. Optimize filling dosage according to flame retardant requirements and viscosity limit of epoxy system. Conduct small-scale formulation test before mass production. Keep packaging sealed to prevent moisture absorption.
