Product Overview
Polyethylene Oxide PEO CAS 25322-68-3 serves as professional pitch and stickies control agent for pulp and paper enterprises. Mechanical pulp releases natural resin pitch; waste paper repulping generates micro stickies. These hydrophobic contaminants easily coalesce, adhere to forming fabrics, press felts and rollers, resulting in paper spots, pinholes and frequent web breaks. This PEO grade encapsulates pitch and sticky particles to maintain stable dispersion in pulp flow, reduce deposition risk, improve finished paper quality and extend fabric cleaning cycles.
Key Features
- CAS Number: 25322-68-3, Appearance: White free-flowing fine powder
- Encapsulate pitch and micro stickies, suppress coalescence and sticky sediment formation
- Reduce contaminant deposition on wire, press felt, calender and paper machine surfaces
- Greatly lower paper faults including surface spots, pinholes and production web breaks
- Nonionic structure, stable performance within wide pH range of papermaking wet end
- Excellent compatibility with mechanical pulp, TMP and recycled waste paper pulp
- Low dosage, will not negatively impact sheet formation, retention and drainage system
- Convenient liquid preparation under low-shear gentle stirring
Main Applications
- Stickies dispersing control agent for waste paper recycled pulp production lines
- Natural pitch barrier additive for mechanical pulp and thermomechanical pulp (TMP)
- Deposit control chemical for paper machines suffering resin and tacky contaminant troubles
- Auxiliary wet-end additive for tissue, newsprint, packaging board made from recycled fiber
Usage Guidance
Gradually disperse PEO powder under mild continuous stirring to avoid agglomeration and fish-eye particles. Prepare dilute aqueous solution and add before pulp screening or headbox. Carry out factory on-site trials to confirm optimal dosing amount. Avoid prolonged high-shear stirring which breaks polymer molecular chains and weakens efficacy.
