Hydroxy PDMS Base is hydroxyl‑terminated polydimethylsiloxane, CAS 70131‑67‑8. This 107‑series silicone base is optimized for condensation‑cure RTV‑2 two‑component mold making rubber. It exhibits excellent compatibility with silica reinforcing fillers. After mixing with cross‑linker and catalyst, the cured silicone mold shows low shrinkage, high elasticity and superior detail reproduction, widely used in art craft, resin casting, gypsum pouring and industrial duplicate mould manufacturing.
Hydroxy PDMS Base belongs to hydroxyl‑terminated polydimethylsiloxane series, also named 107 silicone base polymer, CAS 70131‑67‑8. It acts as core base resin for two‑component condensation‑cure RTV‑2 mold‑making rubber. Controlled hydroxyl content and stable viscosity ensure predictable curing speed. Combined with reinforcing silica fillers and organotin catalyst, it produces flexible moulds with precise pattern reproduction. Strict quality control guarantees consistent performance for mass mould silicone production.
Complete feeding, kneading and mixing operations under moisture‑free working conditions. Blend with reinforcing fillers, cross‑linking agent and organotin catalyst. Adjust filler dosage according to target hardness, tear strength and shrinkage index. Avoid moisture contamination during the whole procedure, otherwise abnormal curing will occur.
Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Keep iron drum tightly sealed. Keep away from humidity, heat source and direct sunlight. Reseal container promptly after partial material discharge. Proper storage conditions protect polymer reactivity and guarantee shelf‑life.
