DINP (Diisononyl Phthalate, CAS 28553‑12‑0) is a high‑molecular‑weight general‑purpose primary phthalate plasticizer widely used for flexible PVC formulations. It offers good plasticizing efficiency, favorable heat‑resistant property and low volatility. The product shows excellent compatibility with PVC resin, suitable for manufacturing PVC cable, artificial leather, vinyl flooring and PVC film. It is a cost‑effective plasticizer for mass‑produced flexible PVC industrial goods.
Product DetailsDINP appears as a clear, pale‑yellow oily liquid. It is a primary phthalate plasticizer designed for flexible PVC compounding. Compared with lower molecular weight phthalates, DINP features reduced volatility, which helps finished PVC products retain softness under moderate thermal conditions. It delivers stable plasticizing effect during calendaring, extrusion and plastisol processing.
This plasticizer exhibits good compatibility with PVC resin and will not easily separate from polymer matrix under normal service conditions. It can lower the glass‑transition temperature of PVC resin, endowing finished articles with required flexibility and elongation performance. It is suitable for PVC insulation and sheathing for electrical cables, synthetic artificial leather for furniture and garments, vinyl floor sheets for indoor flooring, as well as general‑purpose flexible PVC films.
DINP can be used alone as the main plasticizer or blended with other secondary and polymeric plasticizers to adjust the hardness, migration‑resistance and processing fluidity of PVC compounds. When compounding, appropriate heat stabilizers shall be matched to suppress thermal degradation of PVC during high‑temperature processing.
Store DINP inside tightly sealed drums in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Avoid direct sunlight and high‑temperature storage environment. Wear corresponding protective gloves and goggles while pouring and transferring the liquid material. Prevent leakage onto ground to avoid environmental contamination.
