Synthetic Hydrotalcite (Mg‑Al LDH) is artificial layered magnesium‑aluminium double‑hydroxide inorganic powder. With unique layered crystal structure, it can capture hydrogen chloride released from PVC chain under thermal‑shear conditions during extrusion and calendering. It is widely deployed as acid scavenger and auxiliary heat co‑stabilizer matched with calcium‑zinc stabilizer formulations for PVC. This product effectively restrains early yellowing, extends thermal service stability and helps
Product DetailsSynthetic hydrotalcite Mg‑Al LDH is produced via controlled liquid‑phase synthesis, crystallization, filtration, washing, drying and fine milling. Strict reaction parameters govern the formation of regular layered crystal structure. Particle‑size distribution is precisely controlled to avoid coarse particles that would impair surface quality of finished PVC products.
Its distinctive layered crystal structure enables anion‑exchange capacity. During high‑temperature PVC processing, polyvinyl chloride molecular chains decompose and liberate hydrogen chloride. The hydrotalcite captures HCl through interlayer anion exchange. This inhibits the autocatalytic degradation cycle triggered by free hydrogen chloride. When compounded with Ca‑Zn stabilizer systems, it delivers synergistic stabilizing effect. It suppresses early‑stage yellow discoloration of molten PVC and significantly prolongs long‑term thermal stability during continuous processing.
Compared with traditional inorganic hydrotalcite grades, this product features low heavy‑metal content, low moisture and fine uniform particle size. Good dispersion performance reduces surface speckle defects on extruded or calendered PVC goods. It improves weather‑resistance of finished PVC profiles, pipes, sheets and injection‑molded fittings. It also helps to lower overall formulation dosage of calcium‑zinc stabilizers and optimizes production‑side material costs.
This hydrotalcite co‑stabilizer is suitable for rigid and flexible PVC formulations including PVC building profiles, water supply pipes, decorative sheets, wire‑and‑cable PVC insulation compounds and injection‑molded PVC accessories. It is a key functional additive for lead‑free, environmentally‑friendly PVC modification.
Packaging adopts 25 kg moisture‑proof woven bags with inner polyethylene liner. The packages must remain tightly sealed during transportation and storage. Store in cool and dry warehouse environment to prevent moisture absorption and powder caking. Avoid excessive stacking height on pallets to prevent bag rupture. Wear dust‑proof
