Rutile Titanium Dioxide R820 CAS 13463-67-7 Rubber Grade for Tire and Rubber Goods

Rutile Titanium Dioxide R820 is professional rubber‑grade rutile titanium dioxide designed for tire and rubber articles. With alumina inorganic surface treatment and strict particle‑size classification, it obtains good wetting and dispersion performance in rubber matrix. It delivers high whiteness, powerful tinting capacity and outstanding ultraviolet shielding property. It can be uniformly mixed during internal mixer and open‑mill processing, improving surface appearance and weather resistance

Product Overview

Rutile Titanium Dioxide R820 CAS 13463‑67‑7 is sulfate‑process rutile titanium dioxide optimized for tire and rubber goods. Moderate oil absorption matches rubber compound formula. Alumina surface modification enhances affinity with rubber polymer. This grade solves common industry pain points including poor rubber dispersion, uneven color, poor UV aging resistance and surface speckles. Reliable quality adapts to large‑scale rubber mixing and manufacturing process of tires and rubber products.

Key Features

  1. Good dispersion in rubber matrix, uniform mixing on open mill or internal mixer, reduce speckle defects.
  2. High whiteness and tinting strength, realize excellent whitening and tinting effect for rubber articles.
  3. Excellent UV shielding performance, enhance weathering and aging resistance of rubber goods.
  4. Proper oil absorption value, match rubber formula system, no negative influence on vulcanization process.
  5. Good compatibility with natural rubber, synthetic rubber, vulcanizing agent and various rubber auxiliaries.
  6. Stable chemical inertness, keep stable color performance under long‑term service condition.

Main Applications

‑ Rubber tire sidewall and partial tire compound formulations
‑ Industrial rubber hoses, sealing strips, rubber sheets
‑ Rubber shock‑absorbing parts and miscellaneous industrial rubber goods
‑ Light‑colored rubber components for tire peripheral accessories
‑ Other rubber products requiring whitening, tinting and anti‑UV aging property

Usage Recommendation

‑ Recommended dosage: 2‑12 phr in rubber formula, adjust according to whiteness and weather‑resistance requirements.
‑ Add titanium dioxide during rubber mixing stage of internal mixer or open mill.
‑ Ensure sufficient mixing time to achieve uniform pigment dispersion.
‑ Avoid moisture agglomeration before feeding.
‑ Complete small‑batch rubber compound trial mixing and performance test before mass production.

Storage & Packaging

‑ Packaging: 25kg moisture‑proof kraft paper bag with PE inner liner.
‑ Storage: Store in dry, cool and ventilated warehouse, keep tightly sealed against moisture absorption.
‑ Shelf life: 24 months under standard storage conditions
