Potting Compound Toughener, CSR/Silicone-Modified for Epoxy PU Potting Stress Relief Thermal Shock
This potting compound toughener series includes CSR core-shell rubber powder and silicone-modified polymer additives. CSR core-shell rubber absorbs stress and crack energy inside cured resin. Silicone-modified component forms microphase-separated domains to lower modulus and release thermal stress. The combination effectively enhances resistance to thermal shock and prevents cracking when temperature fluctuates. It is widely used for epoxy and PU potting compounds in electronic encapsulation.
Product Detail PageChemical IdentityCSR is core-shell rubber powder with crosslinked elastic rubber core and resin-compatible shell. Silicone-modified toughener is organosilicon copolymer with reactive functional groups, which can form stable micro-phase separation in epoxy or PU matrix. Both grades are compatible with common bisphenol epoxy, aliphatic epoxy and polyurethane potting systems. They can be dispersed during resin mixing before curing.
Key PerformanceIt relieves internal curing stress and thermal stress of thick potting layers. It improves thermal shock resistance and reduces cracking and delamination under rapid temperature cycling. CSR provides high toughness while maintaining good hardness and insulation properties. Silicone-modified grade brings low modulus for stress buffering. It has good dispersion in resin and will not sharply increase system viscosity with proper dosage. It keeps stable electrical insulation for electronic components.
ApplicationsMain applications are epoxy potting and polyurethane potting compounds. Typical end products: electronic module encapsulation, power supply potting, sensor potting, transformer encapsulation and circuit board protection. Storage & HandlingStore CSR powder in sealed bags and silicone-modified liquid in sealed containers inside cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Recommended storage temperature 10-30℃. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources and moisture. Wear protective gloves and goggles during handling. Reseal tightly after opening to avoid moisture contamination. Do not stack pallets excessively high for powder packages.
