Product Overview
500cst Methyl Phenyl Silicone Oil (CAS 63148-58-3) is synthetic methyl phenyl polysiloxane. The introduction of phenyl groups enhances molecular radiation resistance, effectively slowing chain breakage caused by ionizing radiation. Medium-high viscosity balances fluidity and film-forming performance. This silicone fluid is developed to tackle the failure problem of ordinary lubricants and dielectric oil in nuclear radiation environment, suitable for long-term operation of nuclear industrial equipment.
Key Features
- Excellent radiation resistance, resist degradation under ionizing radiation
- Good thermal stability, adapt to wide temperature operating range
- Stable electrical insulation property for electrical components
- Outstanding lubricity, form durable protective oil film on metal surfaces
- Low volatile, chemically inert, non-corrosive to metal alloys
Main Applications
- Functional lubricating & insulating fluid for nuclear industry equipment
- Mechanical transmission parts used in radioactive environment
- Dielectric medium for nuclear facility electrical modules
- Heat transfer and sealing auxiliary fluid for radiation testing devices
- Special equipment fluid for radioactive laboratory facilities
Usage Guidance
Suitable for closed circulation or immersion lubrication systems. Avoid long-term mixing with air under high temperature. Do not blend with mineral oil, acid, alkali or other foreign lubricants. Regular sampling inspection is recommended for long-term continuous operation equipment.
