Product DetailsThis ionic liquid antistatic agent belongs to imidazolium sulfate ionic liquid series. Different from conventional quaternary ammonium salt antistatic additives which strongly rely on ambient moisture to build conductive surface layer, its intrinsic ionic conductive network provides long‑term static dissipation even under relatively low humidity conditions. It exhibits moderate polarity, enabling favorable miscibility in diversified formulation systems including solvent coatings, water‑dilutable coating formulations, UV cross‑linkable coating systems and flexible or rigid PU foam.

During coating production, this antistatic additive can be incorporated into grinding or letdown stage. For PU foam application, metered addition before foaming polymerization is recommended. It does not introduce obvious color shift at recommended dosage range. It avoids heavy migration or blooming on finished part surfaces after curing or foaming, which prevents surface stickiness, hazing and deterioration of surface gloss frequently observed for traditional migratory antistatic agents.

The product effectively reduces surface resistivity of finished coatings and foams, suppressing static charge accumulation, eliminating dust attraction and minimizing static‑triggered spark risk for finished articles. It maintains stable antistatic performance after aging, thermal exposure and medium‑term weathering test.

Recommended working dosage varies according to substrate and target surface resistivity: typical addition level ranges from 0.3 wt%‑2.5 wt% based on total formulation weight. Formulation pre‑testing is strongly suggested to verify compatibility, curing behaviour, final surface resistivity and gloss before mass manufacturing.

Storage should be implemented in tightly sealed containers inside dry, cool and well‑ventilated warehouse, away from direct strong sunlight and excessive heating. Avoid contamination by water and foreign impurities during handling. Proper sealing after partial material discharge is required to guarantee consistent quality for remaining stock.
